Economic and Social Council 2
President: Darren Tsang (TAS)
My name is Darren Tsang, a junior at Taipei American School, and it is my utmost pleasure to serve as your President for ECOSOC 2. I began my MUN career as a delegate back in 7th grade, marking this year my fifth. I started MUN with the goal of enhancing my debate skills and public speaking skills. Throughout my journey in MUN I have since grown to enjoy all aspects of the MUN experience. I enjoy the intense yet diplomatic debate, the outlandish solutions proposed, and the experience of meeting new people. When I participated in my first MUN conference, I expected an ordinary weekend of intense debates and scholarly conversations. Never would I have thought that I would be drawn into the world of MUN and realized that I was pursuing something greater. During my free time, I like to play basketball, watch movies, and listen to music. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about the topic regarding research! With that being said, I look forward to seeing you all soon!
Deputy President: Paul Lee (IIS)
Greetings! My name is Paul Lee, a current junior at I-Shou International School, and it is my honor to serve as your Deputy President of ECOSOC 2 at STMUN XII. STMUN was the starting point of my MUN career when I participated as an admin in 7th grade. I got inspired by the environment where delegates negotiate with each other through their own country stances and together strive to construct plausible solutions for global issues. Since then, I was delighted to participate in each MUN conference because it not only improves my ability to express my thoughts but also raise my global awareness and open-mindedness through the research process. This year, I continued to pursue my beloved path and I hope I can inspire you to become passionate about MUN. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions as I am more than happy to assist you. Aside from MUN, I love listening to K-pop music, watching Japanese Anime and trying different types of cuisines! Best wishes to all of you and I’m looking forward to seeing you in December!
