Security Council 1

President: Han Tseng (HCAS)

I am Han Tseng, now a senior at Hsinchu County American School, and it is my utmost honor to serve as your President of Security Council 1. Ever since beginning my MUN career back in seventh grade, I have actively participated as a delegate, chair, and secretariat for six years and attended nineteen conferences– with thirteen of those as a student officer. Furthermore, I am also serving as one of the student advisors of my school’s MUN program, a Diplomat of East Asia for MUN Impact, and a Mentor for MUN@Home. In my spare time outside of MUN and academics, I enjoy traveling to remote corners of the world, tasting world-cuisines, and capturing remarkable moments through photography. I am also a fan of multiple American television shows– namely Chicago PD and Fresh Off the Boat. I look forward to meeting everyone at the conference!

Deputy President: Jeffrey Huang (PAS)

Hello, delegates! I’m Jeffrey Huang, a sophomore at Pacific American School (PAS), and it is my utmost honor to serve as your deputy president of the Security Council (1) for STMUN XII. I first entered the hectic world of Model United Nations as an anxious and baffled eighth-grader; ever since then, the pathways MUN has paved never fail to fascinate me. I immerse myself in the charm of youth activism and ponder, in awe, the rich beauty of finding solutions and ramifications to global issues.  Beyond all else, the best of MUN  as a leader is to converge with like-minded teenagers and support them as they break away from their cocoon of self-doubt and unease. No matter if this is your first conference or the twentieth, I will try my best to assist you in order to make this conference fun and meaningful. Aside from MUN and catching up with homework, I enjoy catching up on sleep and jogging. I wish you all the best of luck and look forward to seeing you guys in December!
