Human Rights Council

President: Anngu Chang (PAS)

My name is Anngu Chang, a junior from Pacific American School, and it is my utmost honor to serve as the president for the Human Rights Council! STMUN this year will be my 18th conference, 6th time chairing, and 5th time in this council. You guys already know (or at least heard about excessively) that MUN is an amazing opportunity to learn about world issues, travel far places, and buy expensive suits, so I'm not going to dwell on that. I hope this year's STMUN would uphold the amazing debate quality that I experienced in past years, and more importantly, I hope that you all can experience the dynamic energy and atmosphere MUN brings to the table. Outside of school, I am really good at bing-watching videos, ruining my sleep schedule, running, and running out of time. Jokes aside, I look forward to meeting you guys in December!

Vice President: Vanessa Fan (KAS)

My name is Vanessa Fan, currently a sophomore at Kaohsiung American School and it is my honor to serve as the deputy president of Human Rights Council STMUN XII. I have spent much of my time participating in Model UN activities in the past four years, through debating and developing solutions to complex issues. MUN has not only developed my public speaking but most of all, shaped me into an open-minded individual. Other than MUN, I'm extremely passionate about biology and chemistry, and would like to pursue my future career in the medical fields. I’m looking forward to meeting all of you and hearing your excellent ideas towards the issues in this committee.
