United Nation Development Programme

President: Nian Nian Wang (IIS)

Greetings, delegates! Welcome to the United Nations Development Programme Middle School Committee. I am Nian-Nian Wang, a junior at I-Shou International School, and it will be my utmost honor to serve as your President. Since the beginning of my MUN journey, I couldn’t expect how engaging it would be to me as I felt the eagerness to pass my block’s resolution that led me to joining intense yet diplomatic debates and opening up myself during group discussions. MUN has also become influential and important to me personally which trained me to become a critical thinker, shaped me as an active follower to global issues, and helped me to gain a better understanding of the world around me. Apart from MUN, I enjoy watching video clips, eating, traveling around, and hanging out with friends. Do not hesitate and feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns, and I sincerely wish you the best of luck during the conference. I am looking forward to fruitful debates and meeting you all this December.

Deputy President: Justin Huang (IIS)

Greeting to fellow delegates! My name is Justin Huang, currently a junior at I-Shou International School, and it is my utmost honour to serve as Deputy President of UNDP for STMUN XII. Throwback to my first MUN conference, I was extremely excited to meet new friends in the committee and debate issues that are crucial around the world. Since then, MUN has challenged me to think critically about ongoing events that strengthened my thinking skills since we, as a delegate, are required to come up with a fruitful debate and produce effective resolutions targeted on the committee issues. Most importantly, it has raised my attention to the global issues that also lead me to collaborate and engage in writing resolutions before and during conferences. This year, I’m well prepared to take part in UNDP to discuss different aspects of UN development throughout the conference. For leisure, I enjoy reading literature and writing prose or hanging out with friends.I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you all in December.
