United Nation Environmental Programme
President: Silvia Fang (TES)
Dear delegates of the United Nation Environmental Program,
I am Silvia Fang, a junior from Taipei European School and I am honored to be able to serve as your Head Chair for STMUN XII. I have participated in MUN since the 6th grade and have attended 11 conferences as a delegate and 1 as a chair. This will be my second time chairing, though due to COVID restrictions, I was unable to physically attend my first conference as a chair. Thus, I am extremely excited to meet all of you in person over the conference weekend! As we get closer to December, I hope that all of you are preparing for the conference with high spirits and are looking forward to a weekend full of fruitful and excellent debate! If you ever have any questions or need any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me at email@example.com :) Looking forward to meeting and working with all of you!
Deputy President: Yuan-Yuan Chen (MGHS)
Greetings, delegate! My name is Dana, currently a sophomore from Makong Senior High School in Penghu, also the founder of MUN club in our school. I’m super honored to serve as your co-chair in UNEP. It’s been about a year since I embarked on the journey of Model UN, as a delegate, chair, team assistant, and even lecturer. Studying in science track, I don’t fit the stereotype of a MUNer, usually specializing in politics, global affairs, or sociology. Nevertheless, I’m outspoken, passionate about conveying personal opinions to the world. It’s MUN that gives me a stage to fully achieve that, lighting up a whole new me — confident and courageous. I hereby encourage all of you to take firm stands, speak up, and break out limits without holding back during the conference. Most importantly, always dare to give it a try. Last but not least, here’s my motto to share with you,” Work hard and play hard.” Aside from academic growth, I expect that all of you can gain friendship and precious memories at the same time.
