United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime

President: Rachel Lee (DIS)

Vice President: Curtis Ko (IBST)

Greetings, delegates!

I’m Rachel Lee, a senior at Dominican International School, and I’ll be working with you as the Chair of STMUN XII. I was born in Korea, a place full of good food and people, but I moved to Taiwan when I was in first grade. My MUN journey started relatively late compared to my peers. In fact, my first ever MUN conference was KCMUN last year when I was a sophomore. I had no idea what MUN was and the fun it brings before I actually attended the conference. I found out that I had a tremendous interest in debating as well as public speaking. It is an honor and pleasure for me to serve as the Deputy President of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). I am very excited about the quality debate and fun we’ll have throughout the conference. Besides MUN, I love playing sports, especially volleyball. Also, I love good movies and good food! I look forward to meeting all of you and spending quality time with you all. Meet you all soon!

Greetings, I'm Curtis Ko, a junior at lBST, and it's my pleasure to serve as your Deputy-President of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for STMUN XII. It has been quite a long way since my first MUN here at STMUN. I began on my MUN journey back in seventh grade, marking this year my third. I started MUN with the goal of bettering my public speaking skills and getting to know more people around Taiwan. Throughout my years in MUN, I’ve been constantly challenging myself to make an impact at the conference. I hope we can all look beyond the numbers and make our best out of STMUN XII— provoking innovative solutions to the global issues we have in hand and ultimately developing as a global citizen. I’ve been to six conferences for the past three years and take great interest in MUN and debate. My other hobbies include watching movies, listening to music, and swimming. I completely understand those who are first-timers or aren’t that fluent in MUN. Passion and determination are all it takes, so feel free to approach me or Rachel if you have any questions.
