World Food Programme (WFP)

President: Vivian Chiu (IBST)

Hello delegates! I’m Vivian Chiu, a sophomore from the International Bilingual School at Tainan Science Park (IBST), and it is my honor to serve as your President for World Food Programme (WFP). I started MUN in grade 6 as a delegate that refused any POIs and only managed a short speech to a delegate that was known for aggressively questioning the delegates of Myanmar and PRC about the Rohingya refugee crisis. Throughout the subsequent years, MUN improved my public speaking skills and confidence and sparked my interest in international affairs, eventually chairing and leading delegates to embrace the world of MUN. As your President, I would make this STMUN conference as educational, memorable, and exciting as possible. Delegates, immerse yourselves in the world of MUN! Throughout this conference, become globally aware citizens and propose new ideas without hesitation. I started MUN as a scared delegate and stepped out of my comfort zone with the help of my chairs; as your President, I hope to do the same. Besides MUN, I also enjoy playing the clarinet, debating, reading, and listening to music. I look forward to seeing you all at STMUN

Deputy President: Mindy Tsai (KAS)

Greetings, delegates and fellow participants of STMUN XII! I’m Mindy Tsai, currently a junior from Kaohsiung American School. It is my honor to serve as your Co-Chair of the World Food Programme this year! I stepped foot into the world of MUN four years ago at STMUN VIII and was struck by the possibilities of MUN in just a single conference. Seeing delegates exchange diverse perspectives back and forth throughout the entire debating floor, I was awestruck by the range of opportunities MUN has given us, leading students closer to the cutting edge of global issues. Although standing at the podium can seem daunting, I encourage you all to take up the challenge and step out of your comfort zone. Whether that be delivering a speech, making a POI, or submitting an amendment, I hope every delegate in this house will contribute their unique perspectives to bring about the most enjoyable conference. Apart from MUN, you can find me playing volleyball and basketball, reading light novels, or jamming to lofi music. If you have any questions and concerns, or simply just up for a chat, feel free to come up to me any time! With that being said, I wish you all the best of luck. See y’all at STMUN XII!
