Greetings to the delegates of UNEP! My name is Jade and I am going to be serving as your president this year at STMUN. I began my MUN journey as a shy and confused delegate in 8th grade. Since then, I have attended several conferences all around Taiwan, learning more about MUN and growing as both a delegate and a chair. STMUN this year will be my 11th conference and my 5th time chairing. Since I joined the MUN club at my school, I have been able to become more connected with the world and its issues. I have always been an activist for sustainability, and MUN taught me more ways to advocate for and contribute to the solutions for some of the many issues that our planet faces on a daily basis. At STMUN, I hope to be able to pass this skill on to the next generation of debaters and politicians by guiding them in creating solutions for the issues of sustainable environmental preservation and wildlife trafficking. Aside from MUN, I enjoy participating in the performing arts, such as musical theatre and instruments. I also enjoy playing basketball, volunteering, and learning about interesting subjects. I look forward to meeting everyone at STMUN. See ya'll in December!!
